Daylight Savings Time
« on: Nov 05, 2007, 09:29:15 AM »

What is with this daylight savings time?Huh What a pain. I lived in Arizona for several years - don't get me wrong, I prefer it here!- but they have sense enough there not to worry about changing the clocks 2 times a year. It was something that was of great help 200 years ago in farming communities. But I don't see the point, and who can remember if they got all of their clocks changed anyway...  Cheesy

It is a pain!
In fact, we forgot about changing them at first.
LOL

I always thought Daylight Savings Time was done for kids so they would not be standing in the dark waiting on the school bus in the winter.

As big as China is, they don't even have different time zones to worry about, but then you might be in the dark at 3 in the afternoon or some weird thing like that.
I HATE DST!  It's not natural, and a huge, huge pain to reset all the clocks.  Even my "atomic" clocks were fooled this time due to the day it goes into effect, our beloved gov. decided we needed.

It didn't make much sense to me either before I saw this thread.

Actually I'd prefer we stay on DST all the time personally instead of EST. Never change.

I might be in the minority, but I like DST.  I love the long hours of daylight in the spring and summer. I don't like the darkness at 5:30 right now. I sacrifice that part to have more daylight in the warm  months.
